Carbon Innovations (Carbinnov) Programme Director: Dr Sravan Kumar Khuntia  |  Faculty: Achin Tyagi

The right person for a sustainability seat, including the first one.

Carbinnov's sustainability HR desk helps organisations hire for climate, ESG, EHS, circularity, green operations and green-finance work, and helps early talent enter it through internships and internship-cum-PPO tracks. Search is paired with learning, so no one is hired into a role the company cannot supervise.

For MBA institutes, ESG and sustainability teams, finance and risk desks, and fintech employers.

Three ways to build the bench

Pick one track or combine them. Each is scoped before anyone is approached.

Permanent and contract search

A shortlist read against the role, not against keywords copied from the advertisement.

Replacement if a placed candidate leaves voluntarily within three months and the fee has been paid

Internships

A defined project, a named supervisor, and an artefact the intern must leave behind.

Supervisor brief and mid-point check, so the seat is not an unpaid extra pair of hands

Internship-cum-PPO

The same project, with a pre-agreed bar for a pre-placement offer.

The offer is earned against that bar. It is not automatic

What the client gets

Role design and interviews sit with the hiring desk. Domain judgement on what real sustainability work looks like sits with the programme.

  • A role note before outreachOutcomes, tools, standards and the evidence a CV must be able to show. Slogan-only job descriptions are rewritten.
  • A shortlist read against the roleDuplicate names are checked before they are sent.
  • Supervisor brief and mid-point checkFor intern tracks, so every seat has someone accountable.
  • A written PPO scorecardShared with the intern on day one, so the bar is known.
  • A route back into EdTechIf the hiring manager wants the new joiner or intern cohort trained on the same language.

Internships and the PPO bar

The intern is told the project, the supervisor and the artefact on the offer. A PPO track adds the conditions for a full-time offer and a decision date.

Attendance

Shown up, and on the agreed schedule.

Artefact quality

Reviewed against the project brief.

Domain review

Does the work stand up as real sustainability work?

Carbinnov does not sell a guaranteed job at the end of an internship. It sells a clean process: a real project, a named reviewer, and a decision that is written down. Candidates from the EdTech showcase may be considered for intern seats; a showcase is an introduction, not a reservation.

How a mandate moves

  1. Brief and role note

Agreed with the Programme Director where the seat is sustainability-labelled.

  2. Search or intern outreach

Duplicate names checked before they are sent.

  3. Interviews

Coordinated with you. Feedback within a short window so good candidates are not lost.

  4. Offer and joining

On a PPO track, the scorecard review comes before the full-time decision.

  5. Replacement

One replacement search if a permanent joiner resigns inside the guarantee window.
